I am running for the office of Judge because serving as your Chief Deputy County Attorney for 24 years has prepared me in a singular and unique way. I am grateful for the opportunity to bring that experience to the bench. I am qualified to serve not only because of my work as a deputy county attorney, but also because I have a lifetime of significant and extensive leadership and service to the community and to the profession. Paul Stahl announces his candidacy for District Judge

Paul Stahl, Chief Deputy Lewis and Clark County Attorney for the past 24 years, announced today that he is seeking the job of District Court Judge. The position is newly created in response to a study funded by the Montana Supreme Court that found that several judicial districts, including the First Judicial District containing Lewis and Clark and Broadwater Counties, has a significantly higher caseload per judge than other courts around the state.
